This patch release includes bug fixes and small improvements to Ice 3.8.
We list below the main highlights. Please refer to the changelog for a detailed description of all the changes included in this release.
Codebase Audits
For this release, we performed in-depth security and code-correctness audits of the entire Ice codebase with the help of AI tools, and fixed the bugs identified through these audits. Most of the changes in Ice 3.8.3 are the result of this effort.
These fixes make Ice more reliable and more robust, in particular when processing invalid or malicious data received from the network.
